Avec la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale, la paix est revenue en Europe. La guerre a caus\u00e9 beaucoup de d\u00e9g\u00e2ts, mais elle a \u00e9galement permis \u00e0 des mat\u00e9riaux plus exclusifs de devenir accessibles au commun des mortels. C’est ainsi qu’Arie Sneeboer a pu acheter ses premi\u00e8res \u00e9lectrodes de soudage en acier inoxydable en janvier 1950 et une plaque d’acier inoxydable \u2018Weldanka\u2019 de 1x1m sur 2mm d’\u00e9paisseur deux mois plus tard. \u2018Weldanka\u2019 est un alliage d’acier inoxydable produit par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Brown, Bayleys Steels Works de Sheffield au Royaume-Uni.<\/p>\n\n

Avec ses trois fils Kees, Paul et Teun, Arie s’est lanc\u00e9 dans une nouvelle aventure en produisant des outils de jardin en acier inoxydable. Nous pouvons donc affirmer avec certitude que Sneeboer a innov\u00e9 avec de nouveaux mat\u00e9riaux d\u00e8s 1950, lorsque les premiers outils de jardin en acier inoxydable ont \u00e9t\u00e9 produits. <\/p>\n\n

Le principal avantage de l’acier inoxydable est qu’il d\u00e9veloppe, dans le pire des cas, une l\u00e9g\u00e8re couche d’oxyde qui prot\u00e8ge le reste du mat\u00e9riau situ\u00e9 en dessous de cette couche contre toute oxydation ou rouille suppl\u00e9mentaire. En revanche, l’acier ne poss\u00e8de pas les composants chimiques n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la formation de cette couche d’oxyde et se corrodera davantage. Avec le temps, l’acier peut se rouiller compl\u00e8tement.<\/p>\n\n
